19世纪六七十年代,在中国掀起了学习菲钦素描的热潮,很多画家争相临摹菲钦的素描,然而却鲜见他的油画。2005年全山石编纂的画册《菲钦》一书面世,才让中国人感受到这个俄罗斯画家油画中体现的艺术气韵竟与中国绘画中的气韵如此相像。菲钦绘画植根于俄罗斯传统,又区别于传统,独树一帜。无论是在油画肖像中还是在油画风景中,观者可强烈感受到其中释放着强烈的生命之气,即画家在尊重客观物象形体的基础上表现了内心情感,把内心情感通过娴熟的笔法外化于物象,赋予物象强烈的生命气息。
