The authors devised a tongue-retaining device (TRD) made of a hetero-molecular copolymer that retains the oral cavity during sleep, uses its negative pressure on the compartment of the tongue, and holds the tongue at Mild front set. Its purpose is to pull the tongue root forward, detached from the posterior pharyngeal wall to increase airway clearance, thereby lifting the obstruction of the breath. The authors selected 20 adults (41 to 60 years) of male obstructive sleep apnea syndrome as a validation object. The diagnosis of these patients was confirmed by polysomnography and the number of apnea episodes per hour of sleep was used as an indicator of efficacy. The results showed that patients with sleep improvement after wearing TRD; apnea episodes reduced, the time is shortened. The trial also showed that, based on the average apnea and respiratory insufficiency parameters, after wearing TRD effect
