1987年5月15日,苏联从拜努科尔航天发射场首次成功地发射了《能源号》运载火箭。它是一种大推力通用型新式运载火箭,高60m、最大横向尺寸约20m、芯级直径8m。《能源号》为二级火箭,并联安排,有效载荷采取侧装方式。《能源号》起飞重量在2000t以上,向近地轨道运送有效载荷的能力超过100t。发动机采用“聚束式”方案,第一级(助推级)有四台发动机分别装在芯级外侧,推进剂为液氧-碳氢燃料,单台推力8000kN。第二级(芯级)由四台发动机组成,推进剂为液氧-液氢,单台推力2000kN。主发动机具有较长的工作寿
On May 15, 1987, the Soviet Union successfully launched the “Energy No.” Launch vehicle for the first time from the launch site of the Bai Nuuker Space Launch Station.
