西南交通大学是我国较早开始建筑教育的学校之一。早在20世纪30年代就在土木学科中开设建筑科,1946年建筑系正式成立,培育了佘南院士、彭一刚院士等众多杰出校友。改革开放后,为适应国家经济发展和现代化建设需要,1985年学校恢复了建筑学专业,1986年正式恢复建筑系,2002年成立建筑学院。
Southwest Jiaotong University is one of the schools that started architectural education in our country earlier. As early as the 1930s, the Department of Civil Engineering opened a building department. In 1946, the Department of Architecture was formally established, cultivating many outstanding alumni such as Academician She Nan and Academician Peng Yigang. After the reform and opening up, in order to meet the needs of the country’s economic development and modernization, the school resumed its major in architecture in 1985, formally resumed construction in 1986, and the School of Architecture in 2002.
