The economics of the oil and gas industry must be considered from the point of view of reducing manpower and capital expenditures and the current optimization of equipment groups. The most viable way to meet these requirements is system automation. For this reason, gas lift operating techniques have focused on the development of assembled systems that can be automated at each well head and platform. The intelligent controller can be used with the central main station or as a stand-alone production facility, which responds automatically and quickly to predefined field parameters. In addition to reducing manpower requirements, smart controls will further enhance gas lift by increasing continuous gas lift efficiency. In addition, the controller can automatically remove the load caused by gas fluctuations. With an automated system, operators can set up a full field program to make the most efficient use of gas and save manpower, which is in line with the current economic conditions in the field.
