孙立人(1900～1990年),安徽庐江人,1923年清华大学土木工程系毕业,后赴美求学,1925年取得工程学士学位,毕业后入弗吉尼亚军校,后赴欧考察德、法、英等国军事,于1928年返国。1942年4月,孙立人率由税警总团改编的新38师抵达缅甸,参加远征军对日作战,其指挥才能得到充分体现,成为歼灭日军极多的中国将领,从此扬名海内外。
Sun Liren (1900-1990), Lujiang, Anhui Province, graduated from Department of Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University in 1923. After graduating from the United States, he got a bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1925. After graduating from the military academy in Virginia, he studied in Germany, France and Britain Military, returned in 1928. In April 1942, Sun Li-ren arrived at Burma with a new 38th division based on the tax police regiment. In order to participate in the operation of the Expeditionary Corps against Japan, his command can be fully reflected and become a very popular Chinese general who wiped out the Japanese army.
