根据我国政府同联合国粮农组织/意大利政府签署的《在中国发展油橄榄生产》项目的需要,由林业部和联合国粮农组织安排,我们于1988年10月7日至12月21日,到意大利农林部属的油橄榄加工实验技术研究所,学习了油橄榄果用和油用加工技术及油的质量分析。具体考察学习的主要内容包括各种机械设备的加工工艺和操作方法,油的质量和纯度的检验方法,果用橄榄的加工方法以及与此有关的其它技术问题。这次考察学习,受到意大利油橄榄加工实验技术研究所热情友好的接待,有关专家博士为我们认真介绍了有关情况,并做了实际操作示范,使我们的各项学习活动能顺利进行,达到了预期的目的。
