在《在历史图画中汲取信息》(见本刊2006年4期)中,我们曾经谈到命题应当利用史料,但不能因此而擅改史料。古人所画的图画,其本身就是一种历史遗存,应当按照史学的基本准则尊重其本来面目。由于命题的需要,可以作适当的裁减或组合,并在试题中作必要的说明,但不能随意修改。以下“秀才看榜图”刊载于近代画报,原名“南闱放榜”:
In “Retrieving Information in Historical Pictures” (see our issue in 2006 issue 4), we have mentioned that propositions should use historical materials, but they cannot be used to alter historical materials. The paintings drawn by the ancients are themselves historical relics and should be respected according to the basic principles of history. Due to the needs of the propositions, appropriate reductions or combinations can be made and necessary explanations can be made in the questions, but they cannot be arbitrarily modified.
