The article introduces the design of the alteration of the Dublin Dental Hospital in Ireland, which transformed five old Georgian townhouses into teaching and office space at Trinity College, an Old City educational institution. This design targets a street above the second floor of the street (the ground floor remains as a store) and connects the buildings across the walls of the load-bearing walls to create a “clogged street” with wooden clogs. The design of the traffic, roof level and details are also very special. The project’s architectural design reflects the perfect combination of existing building materials with the meticulous protection of finished surfaces and contemporary radical intervention.
