文章批判了两种具有代表性的西方宇宙论,即伯克森宇宙论和亚历山大宇宙论.前者是一种纯粹的唯心主义宇宙论,后者是一种试图客观化的一个宇宙论.两种宇宙论对西方哲学影响很大,具有很大的代表性.笔者指出了这两种宇宙论的局限性,并够勒出具有东方文化特征的一元论宇宙论.
