1962年,河南登封遭遇饥荒,陈怀军的父母饿得全身浮肿。面对困境,陈怀军毅然和大嫂背起家织布,走出家门。他和大嫂准备用布换些口粮。一路行走,他们来到了安徽砀山县夏庄。“那是农历三月初十中午,”陈怀军清晰地记得,“我们饿得再也走不动了,就敲开了一户人家的大门。”开门的是19岁的姑娘夏淑梅。夏姑娘让他们吃了一顿饱饭,并号召全村人拿粮食换他们的布,还瞒着父母送给他们三碗黄豆。
