Particle dissociation plays a very important role in the flotation process. This effect can be confirmed by the study of the phenomenon of particle desorption in the process of foam annexation or by the comparison of the kinetic parameters of the dissociated particles and the entrained particles. On the other hand, the phenomenon of foam layers produced in flotation columns or mechanical flotation cells with thicker foam layers increases the selectivity of the selections. This has a direct impact on the design of the general process or frothing process and the choice of flotation equipment. The scale of the operation also plays a big role. In flocculation flotation (such as flotation of CaF 2), mechanical stirring may be required to obtain high grade concentrate to eliminate entangled organisms entrained in flocs.
