句容林场摇铃口部分近20年生杉木林由于年久失管,杂草丛生,茅草尤为茂密,杉木生长极为不良,形成矮小、多头、黄瘦的“小老树”。近几年来采用人工垦复、除草等改造措施,对促进杉木生长已取得良好的效果。但这种办法花工多、成本高,第一年每亩需花15元左右的人工费,当年只能除去茅草80-90%,以后3-5年内,还需进行垦复间种,直至林木郁闭。我们为了探索在改造杉木“小老树”的过程中减少劳动力,降低成本的有效办法,进行了除草剂四氟丙酸钠灭草的试验。经过一年的观察,初步看到了一定的效果。现将试验情况与结果初报如下。
