文艺创作的中心是写人。人物形象塑造得成功与否,主要人物性格刻画得典型化程度如何,向来是衡量一部叙事性作品艺术水准的主要尺度。作为新生的面向大众的艺术,电视剧为吸引观众首先要有一个好故事,而且在人物形象塑造上,不宜用小说、戏剧和电影的具体做法来要求所有电视剧的创作。但从根本的艺术规律来讲,电视剧创作与小说、戏剧、电影创作一样,写人物才是主要的,写故事应当服从于塑造人物形象的需要。正是在这一问题上的不同态度和做法,正是刻画人物上的不同功力和效果,在艺术品位上划开了优秀电视剧与一般电视剧的分界线。
The center of literary and artistic creation is writing people. The success or failure of the portrayal of characters and the typical characterization of the major characters have always been the major measure of the art level of a narrative work. As a freshman-oriented art, TV series must first of all have a good story in order to attract viewers. Moreover, it is not appropriate to use the novels, the dramas and the film’s specific approach to create all the TV series in shaping the characters. However, as far as the basic law of art is concerned, the writing of TV series is just as important as the writing of novels, plays and films. The writing of stories should be subordinated to the need of shaping the characters. It is precisely on this issue that different attitudes and approaches portray the different skills and effects on the characters and demarcate the boundaries between outstanding drama and general drama on the artistic level.
