Gandor Elementary School’s design considers many factors, including cost, climate, quantity of available resources, and construction feasibility. The success of the project depends on the scrutiny of these limiting factors and bold denial. In order to obtain the maximum effect with the least resources, the project mainly uses mud mixing. Gandor’s clay is very rich and local people have been using it to build houses. The project modernizes these traditional techniques of clay construction and uses bricks to build a more secure structure.
