“,”Cervical cancer is one of the gynecological tumors, the fatality of which is high causing serious damage to women′s health. Reasonable screening has become the key to control the development of the tumor because of its longer precancerous period. Studies have showed almost all process from atypical dysplasia to cervical cancer is accompanied by amplification of human telomerase RNA component gene( hTERC gene) , which can prevent apoptosis and lead to tumorigenesis. At present, detecting the amplification of hTERC gene by fluorescence in situ hybridization( FISH) has been used in screening of cervical lesions. Here is to make a review about its progress and advantages.
