新颁布的《英语课程标准》中明确指出,基础教育阶段英语教学的任务是“帮助学生了解世界和中西方文化的差异,拓展视野,培养爱国主义精神,形成健康的人生观,为他们的终身学习和发展打下良好的基础。”可见文化意识已经与语言知识、语言技能、情感态度、学习策略作为形成语言综合运用能力的一个必不或缺的组成部分。那么,如何在有限的课堂英语教学中培养学生的跨文化交流意识,是当代英语教师的重要课题。
Newly promulgated “English Curriculum Standards” clearly pointed out that the basic education phase of English teaching task is “to help students understand the differences between the world and Chinese and Western cultures, broaden their horizons, develop the spirit of patriotism, the formation of a healthy outlook on life, for their Lifelong learning and development. ”" It is evident that cultural awareness has been linked with language knowledge, language skills, emotional attitudes, and learning strategies as an integral part of the ability to use language in a comprehensive manner. So, how to cultivate students’ awareness of intercultural communication in the limited classroom English teaching is an important issue for contemporary English teachers.
