Myocardial relaxation is an energy-dependent process that undoubtedly damages myocardial relaxation. The impact of hypoxia on myocardial relaxation has different views in the literature. In this paper, the effect of hypoxia on the diastolic process in isometric contraction of isolated cat papillary muscles was studied. Thirteen cats (1.8-3.5 kg) were anesthetized with pentobarbital sodium (30 mg / kg) intraperitoneally and the right ventricular papillary muscles were removed and resuspended in PBS containing modified Krebs-Ringer’s solution
