自20世纪伊始,英语阅读教学已经渐渐被重视。最初,在传统的语言教学法影响下,教师遵循的是经验主义,基本靠自己的体会来教学。到二战前期,Bloomfield提出结构主义语言教学法。近十几年来,英语阅读课诸多教学方法中,阅读总体教学法比较流行。它以篇章分析为重点,以句法分析为辅助手段,吸收句法分析的长处。到现在,现代阅读教学理论认为,阅读是一个交流的过程,是一个读者与文本之间相互作用相互影响的认知过程。
Since the beginning of 20th century, English reading teaching has gradually been taken seriously. Initially, under the influence of traditional language teaching methods, teachers follow empiricism and basically rely on their own experience to teach. By the early part of World War II, Bloomfield proposed the structuralist language teaching method. In recent ten years, many reading methods in English reading class, reading the overall teaching method is more popular. It takes the chapter analysis as the key point, uses the syntactic analysis as the auxiliary method, and absorbs the good points of syntactic analysis. Up to now, the theory of modern reading teaching holds that reading is a process of communication and a cognitive process in which the interaction between reader and text influences each other.
