High-heat polylactic acid (PLA) composite is used in the world’s first bioplastic touch screen computer case. The computer case of the PLA material is co-published by Taiwan’s SUPLA Corporation and Kuender Corporation, which uses Corbion Purac’s lactide to produce optimized high-heat-resistant PLA compounds for use in consumer electronics. These composites act as high gloss casing materials for the Kuender All in One (AIO) computer with a touchscreen of 54.61 cm and an open-hole 3D media player.
