六十年代初,一位东北人带着这件雕人玉片到了天津,虽然他不敢肯定这块玉的价值,但觉得这定是一件好东西。天津文物界同人见到後亦觉得这是件宝玉,然又说不准它是什麽时代的玉器,就建议这位东北人到北京来,请专家鉴定。这位东北人把玉人雕片拿到北京,市文物商店收下了这件玉器,於1963年把它转到了故官博物院,遂成为故官博物院的藏品。这件玉器定什麽年代为宜,在故宫博物院也是众说不一。有人认为不早於辽金,有人则认为是商代,还有人以为比商代更久远。那时,东北地区红山文化的玉器还没有大量发掘,因而这件本属於红山文化玉雕系统的器物未能确定。
In the early 1960s, a northeastern man brought the piece of jade carving jade to Tianjin. Although he was not sure of the value of the piece of jade, he thought it was a good thing. Some people think that is not earlier than Liao and Jin, while others think that it is Shang Dynasty, while others think it is more distant than Shang Dynasty. At that time, the Hongshan culture in northeast China has not been unearthed a large number of jade, which belongs to Hongshan culture jade carving system of utensils failed to determine.
