For a long time, “Yuanyuanpai ” novels have been criticized because of their “fun, entertainment, recreational ”, but it is also part of the pursuit of the modernity of Chinese literature, but it is a relatively Unique and subtle way. It seems to be the negation and interruption of the enlightenment reform in the late Qing Dynasty. In fact, it is a kind of potential transcendence. It is to reconstruct the value of literature itself in the reflection of the political novels of the late Qing Dynasty. Its position in the literary history can not be simply based on “Mandarin Duck Butterfly School” in a nutshell.
