一、前言在地震作用下,对于烟囱破坏现象的解释,目前存在着两种看法。一种观点认为,大多数烟囱在地震作用下的破坏主要是由于水平地震力引起的,只是在高烈度区,竖向地震力有较大的影响;而另一种观点则认为水平地震力虽然对烟囱破坏有一定影响,但烟囱破坏的主要原因是竖向地震力造成的。持后一种观点的人,以水平地震力不可能使烟囱出现多道裂缝,特别是水平地震力很难解释烟囱上端出现裂缝这一事实。认为作为烟囱破坏后出现的多道裂缝,只可能是由竖向地震力造成的。
