本研究对所搜集到的大学生一年级学生写作样本中的各个层面的语言问题进行分析并运用补偿策略理论解释错误现象的原因。结果表明,这些学习程度较低的学生在写作中经常使用补偿策略,受母语干扰所表现的在词汇、语法、句法等方面的错误比较多。中国学生在汉语的环境中学习英语,缺少接触目的语的机会,因而英语产出技能,特别是写作技能往往非常薄弱。加强语言输入与输出,并引导学生在语言输出过程中合理使用补偿策略,是提高学生英语语言表达能力的有效方法。
This study analyzes the language problems at all levels in the first-year college students’ writing samples and explains the reason of the error phenomenon by using the compensation strategy theory. The results show that these less-educated students often use compensation strategies in their writing, and their errors in vocabulary, grammar and syntax are more affected by their mother tongue interference. Chinese students learn English in a Chinese context and lack the opportunity to reach their target language. Therefore, their English-speaking skills, especially their writing skills, are often very weak. Strengthening the language input and output and guiding students to use the compensation strategy rationally in the process of language output is an effective way to improve the students’ English language ability.
