Objective To investigate the relationship between the level of blood lipids and the incidence of cerebral hemorrhage. Methods A total of 118 inpatients with cerebral hemorrhage who were admitted to our hospital from January 2009 to January 2010 were enrolled in this study. 110 healthy controls were selected as the control group, and their blood lipids were analyzed. Results The LDL cholesterol and triglyceride in patients with cerebral hemorrhage were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.01). The levels of cholesterol in the patients with cerebral hemorrhage were higher than those in the control group. The levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol in the patients with cerebral hemorrhage were lower than those in the control group. However, the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion Cerebral hemorrhage is closely related to dyslipidemia.
