The most basic meaning of “を ka shi” in classical Japanese is “interesting” or “interesting”. However, the translation of “wo kushi” is far from simple. Because “wo o shi shi” is not only an adjective, it also represents an aesthetic taste of ancient Japanese aristocrats. Therefore, in the translation of literary works, the translator is required to not only accurately translate the meaning of the word, but also understand the meaning of “を か shi shi” and present it to the readers. As we all know, “Pachyrhizus subtilis” is referred to as “を か し literature.” This essay uses “を か し” as many as 466 times, which is the most used of “o ka shi shi”. This article takes Ray’s translation “Pillow and Patch” as an example to discuss the translation method of “o ka shi shi”.
