The results of the translation of ancient poetry can be seen in the eye, but few have close to the original poem of the lingering flavor, so a lot of research necessary. It is the mission of modern Chinese poetry to convey the artistic conception of the original poem through the transformation of languages and the transplants of forms. In terms of language, the essential difference between ancient poetry and new poetry lies in that the former adopts the sensuous language system while the latter adopts the linear statement language system, which belongs to the language of metaphor and analysis. The translation of ancient poetry should, on the basis of modern Chinese, try its best to preserve the original linguistic system features of ancient poetry. The transplanting of forms, including the transformation of rhythm performance and form of rhyme, is the embodiment of musical beauty and style of poetry. The above principle of ancient poetry translation today also has important implications for the future poetic construction of new poetry.
