解放以后,由于教育事业迅述发展的需要,将我从小学调至中学担任生物课。初到云山中学时,党支部书记鼓励我好好工作,虚心向老教师学习。我当时旧知识分于自我欣赏的资产阶级思想还十分浓厚,明知自己既缺理论知识,又无实际化验,却并不愿意向别人学习,更不会想到向劳动人民学习,我认为初中生物教材很简单,只要多熟悉几遍就行了。于是强作“内行”地教起课来,效果自然不好。我教多年生植物,却不知道什么是蒲公英;教“播种”时,照书念大粒种子要深播,小粒种子要浅播,却不知道究竟浅、深到什么程度;我不敢到果园和菜园里去,因为认识的东西太少,怕别人问我闹出笑话。学生反映生物课无味,只死记条文,学习质量很差。

The students reflected that the biology class was odorless, and only the articles were remembered. The quality of study was poor.
