思想道德建设将如何应对“入世”的挑战？这是人们考虑比较少却又是一个急待探讨和解决的问题。不但要充分估计“入世”对思想道德建设的积极效应，而且要切实正视其可能带来的严峻挑战，并充分认识到挑战将更甚于机遇。“入世”后要在四个主要方面加强思想道德建设：一是在全社会开展积极应对“入世”挑战的宣传和教育，坚持思想和行动相呼应，为“入世”做好充分的准备；二是增强思想道德教育的针对性，努力营造健康、向上的思想道德氛围，不断提高人们识别、处理和吸收各类思想道德信息的能力；三是加强“WTO”规则的研究，从道德和法律的有机结合上进一步规范人们的经济行为；四是重视信息网络化的应用性开发，进一步拓展思想政治工作的途径和渠道，充分发挥信息网络化在思想道德建设中的重要作用。
How will ideological and moral construction cope with the challenge of “joining the WTO? This is a question that people consider less but is an urgent issue to be explored and solved. Not only should we fully assess the positive effects of joining the WTO on ideological and moral construction, but also earnestly consider the serious challenges it may pose and fully realize that the challenges will outweigh the opportunities. After joining the WTO, we must strengthen ideological and moral building in four main areas. First, we should propagandize and educate the entire society to actively respond to the challenges posed by the accession to the WTO. We should adhere to the echoes of our thinking and actions and fully prepare for the accession to the WTO. Is to enhance the ideological and moral education targeted, and strive to create a healthy and progressive ideological and ethical climate, and constantly improve people’s ability to identify, process and absorb various types of ideological and moral information; third is to strengthen the ”WTO" rules from moral and legal Fourthly, we should attach importance to the application development of information network, further expand the channels and channels of ideological and political work, and give full play to the important role of information networking in ideological and moral construction.
