Atrial fibrillation (Af) is a common clinical arrhythmia and is also an important cause of stroke in the elderly [1]. A cross-sectional study of 1.9 million people shows that the incidence of Af increases with age, with a prevalence of 0.1% in people younger than 55 years and 9% in people 85 years and older. And the incidence of males are higher than females [2]. Framingham’s 10-year follow-up found that among 5209 respondents, those who had Af had higher rates of males and females than those who had no Af [3]. The most common complication of Af is arterial thromboembolism, of which the most clinically evident embolic event is cerebral infarction [4]. Cerebral infarction can occur in patients
