西方自由民主发展的内在的困境以及东亚经济的腾飞为儒家思想的第三次构建提供了有利的条件。儒家思想如何应对这历史的挑战,证明自己存在的合理性并为人类的未来发展提供思想的资源,这些就成为儒家思想现代性建构的核心的问题。贝淡宁对于儒家思想现代性的研究为我们研究其现代性提供了理论的视角和现实的依据。本文从儒家思想的理论困境与实践问题出发来论证作者观点的合理性和局限性。
The inner predicament of the development of western liberal democracy and the take-off of East Asian economy provide the favorable conditions for the third construction of Confucianism. How Confucianism responded to this historic challenge, justified its own existence and provided the resources for thinking for the future development of mankind has become the core of the modernity of Confucianism. The study of the modernity of Confucianism by Tony Danning provides a theoretical perspective and a realistic basis for us to study his modernity. This article proceeds from the theoretical difficulties and practical problems of Confucianism to demonstrate the rationality and limitations of the author’s viewpoints.
