在移动互联、智能终端的高速发展和普及下,网络热点和盲点急需灵活的方案来完善覆盖。由于基站选址和工程施工难度越来越大,施工成本越来越高,基站设备的集成化、小型化、低功耗、低成本、可控性和智能化将是主流趋势。对此,一系列小型化基站设备和技术——Small-Cell(小型基站)应运而生。Small-Cell最初源于为家庭设计的Femto-Cell技术,现今已延伸扩展到企业Pico-Cell、城市Metro-Cell、和现代Micro-Cell。
In the mobile Internet, the rapid development and popularization of intelligent terminals, network hot spots and blind spots in urgent need of flexible solutions to improve coverage. As base station site selection and project construction are more and more difficult and construction costs are getting higher and higher, base station equipment integration, miniaturization, low power consumption, low cost, controllability and intelligence will be the mainstream trends. In response, a series of miniaturized base station equipment and technologies - Small-Cell (small base station) came into being. Originally derived from home-designed Femto-Cell technology, Small-Cell has now extended to enterprise Pico-Cell, Metro-Cell, and Modern Micro-Cell.
