近年来,我国职业教育事业快速发展,体系建设稳步推进,培养了大批中高级技能型人才,为提高劳动者素质、推动经济社会发展和促进就业作出了重要贡献。但是,当前职业教育还不能完全适应经济社会发展的需要,结构不尽合理,质量有待提高。根据2014年第二季度,中国人力资源市场信息监测中心对全国100个城市的公共就业服务机构市场供求的信息统计分析,劳动力市场供求总体平衡,中、高级技能人才和专业技术人才的用人需求均有所增长,技师、高级技师、高级工程师、高级技能人员的缺口最大。数据表明,我国高职人才培养规格和质量与社会经济发展对高技能人才需求之间还存在偏差。
