阅读是一种重要的学习技能。培养好学生的阅读技能可以有效促进学生英语听、说、读、写能力的全面发展,增加词汇量,提高阅读能力和速度,扩大学生的知识面,令学生终身受用。对于高职学生来说,通过书面材料来获取信息是运用所学英语技能最多的领域,因此掌握阅读理解英语文章的技能对他们来说是最为实用的。但是相对于听力和口语教学,教师经常会忽视对学生阅读能力的培养。因此,培养高职生的英语阅读理解能力迫在眉睫。根据高职生的特点,提出通过赏识教育帮助高职生树立自信心,然后培养其阅读兴趣。在帮助高职生解决词汇问题,培养高职生阅读习惯等的基础上,通过教授学生一些阅读技能来提高高职生的阅读理解能力。
Reading is an important learning skill. Cultivating students ’reading skills can effectively promote students’ overall development of English listening, speaking, reading and writing ability, increase vocabulary, improve their reading ability and speed, and broaden their knowledge so that they can be used for life. For vocational students, acquiring information through written materials is the most skillful area to learn English, so mastering the skills of reading and comprehending English articles is most practical for them. However, compared with listening and oral teaching, teachers often ignore the cultivation of students’ reading ability. Therefore, to cultivate English reading comprehension for vocational college students is imminent. According to the characteristics of higher vocational students, it is proposed to help students gain confidence by appreciating education, and then cultivate their reading interest. On the basis of helping the vocational students to solve the vocabulary problem and cultivating the reading habits of the higher vocational students, the students’ reading comprehension skills are improved by teaching them some reading skills.
