厦门市集美小学初创,校主陈嘉庚先生亲自确定“诚毅”校训。这一校训,是“嘉庚精神”的形象写照,是师魂、校魂,是独立支撑的精神大树,是滋养了千千万万莘莘学子的思想乳汁。为使每个嘉庚学子都能受到完整的、成体系的“诚毅”教育,形成共同的文化烙印,学校依据一至六年级学生不同的认知水平,自编了《诚毅教育》校本教材系列丛书,确立了“有个学校叫集小”“有个学村叫集美”“有个节日叫快乐”“有个伟人叫嘉庚”“有个建筑叫经典”“有种精神叫诚毅”等六个主题。六本校本教材用丰富的史料、生动的故事、优美的文辞,再现一代伟人陈嘉庚校主的创业史、教育情。 Xiamen Jimei primary school start-up, Mr. Chen Jiageng personally identified “Cheng Yi ” motto.
