The effects of fertilization on the content, accumulation and antioxidant activity of total polyphenols, scopoletin, cat’s eye phenolics and cat’s eye flavin in Artemisia annua were studied. In order to improve the yield and quality of Artemisia annua, Provide scientific basis for scientific fertilization. Pot experiments were conducted to determine the effects of different fertilization treatments on the active constituents of roots, stems and leaves at the budding stage and the clearance of DPPH · free radicals by HPLC and UV-Vis spectrophotometry . In Artemisia annua, total polyphenols, scopoletin, cat’s eye phenol and cat’s eye grass flavonoids distribution trend: leaf> stem> root. Antioxidant activity of Artemisia annua L. was significantly and positively correlated with total polyphenols, scopoletin, cat’s eye phenol, cat’s eye grass flavonoids. Fertilization significantly promoted the growth of Artemisia annua. Compared with no fertilization, the biomass of pure Artemisia plus organic manure and organic manure increased by 57.37%, 91.63%, 92.27% respectively. Fertilization, especially organic-inorganic combination, usually increased the content and accumulation of total polyphenols, cat’s eye phenolics and ophthalmic flavin, as well as the DPPH radical scavenging rate. Scopolactone, cat’s eye phenol, cat’s eye grass flavonoids mainly in leaves synthesis and storage, is the main medicinal organs. In Artemisia annua L. fertilization practice, to promote organic and inorganic application, can improve the yield and quality of Artemisia annua, increase the income of drug farmers.
