An important feature of photography is capturing light in an instant and recording it. Although as early as the 5th century BC, the Chinese had already discovered that a light beam emitted or reflected by an object passed through a small hole in the wall of a dark room and would form a reflection of the object on the opposite wall, they did not develop this discovery into Photography. The West, however, used this principle to create a portable camera at the end of the 17th century. Later, it was found that the darkening of the silver salt was not due to heat and air, but to light, which became the basis of film development until the earliest photos of 1828
