世纪之交,中国的艺术设计也面临着一场重要的抉择。此时,有必要对我国数十年来艺术设计方面取得的成功经验和失败原因进行总结和分析,使我们能够面对新世纪更为严峻的挑战。 与世界先进工业国家相比,我国现代艺术设计尚处于初级发展阶段。建国初期,诞生了我国最早的现代艺术设计队伍,这支力量主要来自从事美术或工艺美术的艺术家,他们奠定了中国早期艺术设计的基础并支撑着这一事业的发展。之后,一批由我国自己培养教育的专家和留洋归国的优秀设计家溶入中国的艺术设计界,他们携手将中国的艺术设计推向了新的阶段。在经历了“文革”时期的“设计空白”,进入改革开放的新时期后,大批设计家由欧美、日本等发达国家学成回国,带来了国外先进的艺术设计
At the turn of the century, China’s art and design also face an important choice. Compared with the advanced industrial countries in the world, the design of modern art in our country is still in the primary stage of development. In the early days of the founding of New China, the earliest modern art design team in our country was born. The force mainly came from artists who engaged in art or arts and crafts. They laid the foundation for early Chinese art design and supported the development of this undertaking. After that, a group of outstanding experts who cultivated and educated themselves in China and excellent designers returning overseas returned to China’s art and design community, and they jointly pushed the Chinese art design to a new stage. After experiencing the “blank of design” during the “Cultural Revolution” and entering the new era of reform and opening up, a large number of designers have returned to their home countries from developed countries such as Europe, the United States and Japan, bringing advanced foreign art and design
