How to identify the bigamy under special circumstances is of great significance for the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of the parties and the maintenance of the normal order of marriage and family in society. This article argues that bigamy should have the following elements: the multiplicity of marriage, the identity of the subject, the consistency of time and the conflict of effectiveness. Among them, it is of decisive significance to examine whether “marriage” is effective.
