黄河边的山陕乡村里有一种成人仪式,非常乡土。在孩子十二岁开锁的那一天,除却必要的节目和隆重之外,家长在最后要把家里的一件不大不小的事情交给孩子,让孩子自己做主处理。进行这个程序的时候,家长和在场的亲戚都显得不大经意,其实这是最牵动家长和亲戚心弦的一刻。这个程序叫做“拿事”。大到哪一块地来年种什么庄稼,小到给家里出产的农副产品作价,全由孩子来决定,一言既出,驷马难追,无论对错,绝不更改。“拿事”之后,一个成年人就诞生了。这个成年人就有资格和其他乡民们一起蹲在地头垅畔谈论收成和决断村庄的事务,他可以穿着同成年人一样的衣服,留出和成年人一样的发式,或者,可以像成年人一样喝酒,“吃烟”。仪式对于人生而言是一个重要的匡正、提示和认可的程序,试想一想,如果人不过生日会怎么样?至少是一种遗憾;如果取消了婚礼那又是怎样的境
