Objective To analyze the effect of one-on-one education using structured intervention on self-management ability and complications of type 2 DM patients. Methods All patients were randomly divided into two groups of 40 people each. Control patients used traditional type 2 DM health education. Observation group of patients under the premise of regular education, and then based on individual circumstances to take one-on-one structured intervention. Results The scores of self-management ability in the observation group after structured intervention were higher than those in the control group, with significant difference (P <0.05). The ratio of hyperosmolar coma and hypoglycemia in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the rate of diabetic foot between the two groups (P> 0.05). Conclusion Structured intervention can significantly improve patient self-management ability, which is good for controlling blood sugar, delaying the progression of the disease and reducing the incidence of complications.
