李安是一位极具悲剧意识的导演,纵观其电影,尽管它们背景、题材乃至文化指向各异,但其中几乎都体现着某种悲剧精神。新近上映的电影《比利·林恩的中场战事》亦不例外。从悲剧的深度而言,影片中依次存在三个层次的悲剧,随着三个层次的递进,其所涉时空范围便越大,能够对悲剧感同身受的人便越多。文章从表层悲剧——战争的残酷,次层悲剧——社会的无情,深层悲剧——人生的无奈三方面,分析《比利·林恩的中场战事》的悲剧性。
Ang Lee is a highly tragic director, looking at the movie, despite their backgrounds, themes and even cultural orientations, but almost all of them reflect a certain spirit of tragedy. The recently released movie “Billy Lynn’s midfielder war” is no exception. As far as the depth of the tragedy is concerned, there are three levels of tragedies in turn in the film. With the progress of the three levels, the greater the scope of time and space involved, the more people can experience the tragedy. The article analyzes the tragedy of “Billy Lynn’s midfielder war” from three aspects: superficial tragedy - the cruel war, the second tragedy - the social relentlessness, the deep tragedy - the helplessness of life.
