十多年来,东欧国家的外债问题一直举世瞩目。截至1991年底,波兰外债总额达465亿美元,匈牙利199亿美元,保加利亚120亿美元,捷克和斯洛伐克95亿美元。均比80年代初的外债总额增长1倍乃至数倍。罗马尼亚和阿尔巴尼亚的外债总额虽分别只有14亿美元和8亿美元,但两国的外汇储备均已降至历史低点,出口又不景气,偿债困难重重。
For more than a decade, the debt problems of the Eastern European countries have drawn worldwide attention. As of the end of 1991, the total foreign debt of Poland amounted to 465 billion U.S. dollars, Hungary 19.9 billion U.S. dollars, Bulgaria 12 billion U.S. dollars and Czech and Slovakia 9.5 billion U.S. dollars. Both doubled and doubled the total foreign debt in the early 1980s. Although the total foreign debt of Romania and Albania are only 1.4 billion U.S. dollars and 800 million U.S. dollars, the foreign exchange reserves of both countries have dropped to record lows and their exports have been sluggish.
