中国人对于狮子可以说是既熟悉又陌生。熟悉是因为狮子的形象在日常生活中并不少见,在我国已经形成了独特的“狮文化”;陌生是因为狮子并不产自中国,对于狮子的本来面貌以及它在原产地人们心中的特殊意义我们并不知晓。作为文化传递的使者,译者需要了解狮子在中西方不同文化中的内涵差异,灵活运用不同的翻译策略来译好跨文化交际中各种“狮子”的表达。
Chinese can be said to be both familiar and strange to the lion. Familiar with the image of the lion is not uncommon in everyday life, has formed a unique “lion culture” in our country; strange because the lion is not produced in China, the original face of the lion and it is in the hearts of people of origin We do not know the special meaning. As the messenger of cultural transmission, the translator needs to understand the differences in the connotation of the lion in the different cultures of China and the West and flexibly use different translation strategies to translate the various expressions of “lion” in intercultural communication.
