Objective: To investigate the expression of scavenger receptor A (SR-A) in colorectal cancer and its relationship with invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer. Methods: Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression of SR-A gene in 33 cases of colorectal cancer tissues and corresponding margin normal tissues. Results: The expression of SR-A gene in colorectal cancer tissue was significantly higher than that in normal margin tissue. The expression of SR-A gene was associated with gender, tumor size, depth of invasion, and TNM staging in patients with colorectal cancer (all P<0.05), and was related to the age of the patient, the location of the cancer, the degree of differentiation, lymph node metastasis, and histopathology. Type has nothing to do (all P>0.05). Conclusion: The high expression of SR-A gene is significantly associated with the invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer.
