平面霍尔效应,也称平面磁电效应,与通常霍尔效应的不同之处在于:平面霍尔效应(下记为PHE)是根据样品中产生的电场位于电流和磁场所决定的平面内而定义的。即当外磁场躺倒在膜面内时,在和流过样品的电流相垂直的方向会出现一个横向的电场。
