Using n [TC 16 PyP(4)]/ n (anthraquinone)(1∶1) mixture as film forming material, the film forming property of TC 16 PyP(4)/AnQ mixture on the air/water interface was studied. The structure of mixed TC 16 PyP(4)/AnQ LB films was characterized by π A isotherms, UV Vis absorption spectra and low angle X ray diffraction(LAXD). The experimental results indicate that the TC 16 PyP(4)/AnQ mixture can form a stable monolayer on the air/water interface. Most AnQ molecules are incorporated into the cavities between the long alkyl chains of TC 16 PyP(4) molecules in the mixed monolayer and LB films. Mixed TC 16 PyP(4)/AnQ monolayer can be transferred to the substrates. TC 16 PyP(4)/AnQ LB films have a good stability and periodicity. [WT5HZ]
