The technical and economic benefits of the automatic control of the metal mills are introduced with the examples. The status quo and the development direction of the automatic control of the mills are also discussed. In recent years, not only the amount of metal ore mined gradually increased, the proportion of poor ore, refractory ore is also increasing.
