The philosophy of “pulse” is mainly originated from the Book of Changes and Metaphysics of Wei and Jin Dynasties. It is the application of “Three Metaphysics” (“Lao Tzu”, “Zhuang Zi” and “Book of Changes”) in TCM. This is mainly reflected in three aspects: the philosophical foundation of the Book of Changes, harmony between man and nature, Guo Xiang’s methodological theory of defense and Wang Bi, and the epistemology of “differentiation of words from meaning”. These three aspects are deeply impressed with Metaphysics. Metaphysics of the Wei and Jin dynasties, on the one hand, enriched and promoted Chinese physician’s thinking and abstract thinking. On the other hand, it made the traditional Chinese medical science into a mysterious and mysterious misunderstanding to a certain extent. “Pulse” is a milestone in the history of Chinese medicine pulse diagnosis and even the history of Chinese medicine, but also its limitations of the times.
