This work uses Chongming Island as a high incidence of liver cancer and the incidence of liver cancer between east and west differences in the study of the relationship between trace elements and the incidence of liver cancer. By comparing the ten elements of iron, lead, strontium, manganese, calcium, titanium, molybdenum, zinc, copper and selenium in hair of healthy people with high and low incidence of liver cancer and 100 case-control studies, we found that in normal hair of Chongming Island, Is lower than the selenium values reported elsewhere in my country (except Keshan disease). Suggesting that there may be a lack of selenium in Chongming Island, and the lack of selenium may be one of the risk factors for the high incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma in Chongming Island. The contents of Mn, Fe and Mo in human hair showed significant regional differences and were significantly and negatively correlated with the incidence of HCC. Case-control studies have shown that patients with liver cancer hair Mn and Fe lower than the normal control group.
